Attention Berkshire County Nonprofits! The Great Josh Billings RunAground Triathlon and Mill Town Foundation are partnering in 2026 to bring attention and much deserved support to the hard working nonprofit organizations serving the needs of our Berkshire County residents.
Each year, The Josh Billings RunAground, a 501(c)(3) organization, shares a portion of proceeds generated by registration fees and donations to the Berkshire United Way. This remains unchanged in 2026.
New for 2026, Mill Town Foundation to launch The Finish Line Fund – a new charity initiative that empowers racers and teams to raise funds and support Berkshire-based nonprofits of their choice.
The 2026 Josh Billings RunAground triathlon is Sunday, September 20. This cherished Berkshire tradition of friendly competition and camaraderie is the longest running non-swim triathlon in the United States.
The motto of the Josh Billings RunAground is “To Finish Is To Win”.

Be Listed as an Option for Racers to Support:
Teams and individuals registering to race in The Josh Billings RunAground are provided with a fundraising page through PledgeReg.com Racers may choose a Berkshire based nonprofit to support. If you would like to be included in the dropdown box from which racers can choose a nonprofit to support, please contact us by August 1, 2026 at brian@joshbillings.com or andy@milltownfoundation.org This list goes live on May 1st. The sooner your organization is listed, the more likely racers will choose your nonprofit.
Enter a Team to Race:
If a nonprofit chooses to enter a team to compete in the 2026 Josh Billings RunAground, that nonprofit will be permitted to set up a 10X10 tent at “The Bash” immediately following the race. The Bash is the party and celebration following the race. The Bash is held at Tanglewood and is attended by thousands of racers, spectators, vendors, supporters and celebrants. It is a great venue at which to promote your organization and mission.
Become a Sponsor:
The Great Josh Billings RunAground, a nonprofit ourselves, has sponsorship opportunities available as well. Most sponsorship levels include the sponsor’s logo printed on the coveted Josh Billings T-Shirts.
